General Assistant
3 Month Temporary Contract
30 Hours per week
Start date – Late March – Early April
We are looking for a new team member to join our plant team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and hard working individual who is able to self motivate and work within both a small team and alone. Mainly based in our plant nursery, but with possibility to work within our retail area.
Experience of working in a garden centre, plant production nursery would be beneficial however full training will be provided.
Role
- Based in our on site plant nursery where we grow seasonal bedding plants.
- Plant production, potting and laying out stock, watering, trimming and dead heading seasonal stock.
- Picking and preparing stock for our retail plant centre.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Be self motivated.
- Happy to work as team or alone.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Previous experience in similar role is an advantage, but not essential.
- Organised and reliable.
This role is fast paced and physically demanding and you’ll be lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
Working indoors and outdoors.
